Why We Built OVR Velocity
As athletes and coaches, we experienced the limitations of existing velocity-based training devices firsthand. Many were expensive, overly complicated, or simply not designed for the needs of modern training. Some depended heavily on apps, making quick testing less convenient, while others included unnecessary features that made the overall experience harder than it needed to be.
That’s why we created OVR Velocity a simple, reliable, and affordable VBT solution built for everyday training. It’s designed to be quick to set up, easy to use, and ready whenever you need it.

How It Works
OVR Velocity tracks the bar’s position hundreds of times per second, capturing multiple data points during every repetition. This allows it to measure key performance metrics such as **average velocity, peak velocity, power output, and more**. Use this data to monitor training progress, assess daily fatigue, adjust workout intensity, and make more informed training decisions.
What It Measures
Average Velocity (m/s): The average movement speed recorded throughout the complete range of motion.
Peak Velocity (m/s): The maximum movement speed reached during any part of the repetition.
Range of Motion (in/cm): The total distance the load moves from the beginning to the end of the movement.
Average Power (W): The average power generated across the entire range of motion.
Peak Power (W): The highest level of power produced during the movement.
Time to Peak Velocity (s): The amount of time from the beginning of the repetition until maximum velocity is reached.
Elastic Acceleration Index: Peak velocity divided by time to peak velocity, indicating how quickly the athlete can generate movement speed.
Product Description
OVR Velocity is a compact velocity-based training sensor designed to provide real-time feedback on lifting speed and performance during strength training. It helps athletes and coaches monitor how quickly a weight is moved, making it easier to track training intensity, identify changes in performance, and optimize workouts. The sensor is suitable for a variety of resistance-training exercises and provides objective velocity data that can support load selection, fatigue monitoring, and performance progression. With a simple, practical design, OVR Velocity makes velocity-based training more accessible for athletes, coaches, strength professionals, and performance programs.
